Deleting your data
You do not need to email anyone. Everything on this page is something you can do yourself from inside ReelForge, and it takes effect immediately.
1. Remove our access to a connected account
This is the one most people want. Go to Studio → Channels and press Disconnect on the channel. We immediately delete the stored access token for it, so we can no longer read anything from that account or post to it. Nothing further is published to it, including anything you had already scheduled.
You can also revoke us from the platform’s own side, and it is worth knowing that the two are not the same action. On Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, then remove ReelForge. That stops the token working but does not delete our copy of it — disconnecting here is what removes it. Doing both is belt and braces.
The record of what we did publish for you survives a disconnect: which video went to which channel, and when. That is the only evidence of what happened on your behalf, and it is deleted when the account is deleted, below.
2. Delete individual videos or uploads
Open the video in Studio → Library and delete it. The rendered file, its scenes, its voice-over and any source images you uploaded for it go with it. A video already published to one of your own channels is not withdrawn from that channel — it is yours and it lives there now, so remove it on the platform as well if that is what you want.
3. Delete the account and everything in it
Sign in and go to Studio → Account → Close account. Only an account owner can do this, because it takes everybody else’s work with it.
What happens, in this order:
- Immediately — your subscription is cancelled so you stop being billed, every session except the one you are using is signed out, and the account stops accepting work. We email you to confirm, so that if this was not you, you find out.
- After 14 days — the data itself is destroyed: briefs, uploads, rendered videos, voices, brand settings, channel tokens and the publishing history. You can cancel during those 14 days by signing in. After it runs, nothing is recoverable and we cannot undo it for you.
The delay is deliberate. A stolen session is the most likely thing ever to press that button, and an irreversible deletion reachable from one compromised login would be a worse problem than the one it solves.
What we keep, and why
Billing and ledger records — invoices, payments, credits — are kept for up to seven years because tax law requires it. They record transactions, not content: no briefs, no videos, no social tokens. This is the one thing account deletion does not remove, and we cannot remove it on request. Our privacy policy sets out the retention periods in full.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@storeswiki.com from the address on the account, or open a ticket from Support & tickets. Say that it is a data deletion request. We will verify that the address is the account’s and then do it for you. We respond within 30 days, usually far sooner, and there is no charge.
If you are in the EEA or the UK this is your right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR, and you can complain to your local data protection authority if you are not satisfied with how we handle it.
