Privacy policy
StoresWiki LLC (Lewes, Delaware, USA) is the data controller for ReelForge. This page says what we collect, why, exactly who else receives it, and how to get it deleted.
What we collect
Because you gave it to us
- Account details — your name, email address, business name, and a password we store only as a bcrypt hash. We never see your password.
- What you ask us to make — the briefs you write, the product photographs you upload, your logo, and your brand settings such as caption style and voice.
- Connected channels — if you connect Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn, the account identifier and an access token, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
Because using the service produces it
- Generated videos and the intermediate clips, voice tracks and music that went into them.
- A credit ledger — what was generated, which model ran, and what it cost. This is how you can audit your own spending, and how we detect abuse.
- Session records — a hashed session token, plus the browser user-agent and IP address of a sign-in, so you can tell your own sessions apart and we can spot credential stuffing.
What we deliberately do not collect
- No card details. Payment happens on Stripe’s own hosted pages. A card number never reaches our servers.
- No advertising or analytics trackers, and no third-party cookies. See cookies.
- No purchased or enriched data about you from anyone else.
Why we are allowed to use it
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws our lawful bases are: performance of a contract for everything needed to run your account and generate your videos; legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention and keeping the ledger; and legal obligation for tax and accounting records. We do not rely on consent for anything except optional product email, which you can decline without losing any functionality.
Who else receives it
Generating a video necessarily means sending your brief and any product photograph to the AI provider that produces it. Here is everyone, and what they get:
| Who | What they receive and why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini API — Veo, Imagen, Lyria, Cloud Text-to-Speech) | Generates the video, images, music and voiceover. Receives the brief you write, any product photo you upload, and the shot descriptions derived from them. | United States and European Union |
| Stripe | Takes payment and stores your card details. We never see or store a card number — checkout happens on Stripe’s own pages. | United States and European Union |
| Meta Platforms (Instagram, Facebook) | Receives a video and its caption only when you explicitly choose to publish to a channel you have connected. | United States |
| Same as above, only when you choose to publish to a connected LinkedIn account. | United States | |
| Hostinger (transactional email relay) | Delivers account email such as password resets and receipts. | European Union |
| YouTube (Google) | Receives a video, its title, description and thumbnail only when you choose to publish to a YouTube channel you have connected. Listed separately from generation because it is a different purpose and a different consent. | United States |
| Apple (App Store in-app purchase) | Processes credit purchases made inside the iPhone app and returns a receipt we verify. Apple, not us, handles the payment method. | United States and European Union |
| Google Play (in-app purchase) | The same, for purchases made inside the Android app. | United States and European Union |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosts the application, the database and the stored media. Your briefs, your uploads and your finished videos are held here for as long as your plan’s retention window. | European Union (Frankfurt) |
| Nebius | Provides the GPU that renders presenter and avatar styles. Receives the shot plan and any reference image for the duration of a render, and the machine is stopped afterwards. | European Union |
| OpenRouter | Routes some text generation — script and shot-plan wording — to a language model on the render engine’s behalf. Receives the brief and the derived shot descriptions, not your uploads. | United States |
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Where data moves outside the UK or EEA it does so under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you are processing personal data of your own customers through ReelForge and need a data processing agreement, ask us at support@storeswiki.com and we will send one.
How long we keep it
- Generated videos — for the retention period of your plan (7 days on the free trial, up to 180 days on higher plans), then deleted.
- Account and brand data — while your account is open.
- Sessions — 30 days, or immediately when you sign out.
- Billing and ledger records — up to 7 years, because tax law requires it. These survive account deletion by necessity; they record transactions, not content.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, or take it elsewhere in a portable form. Email support@storeswiki.com or open a ticket from Support & tickets. We respond within 30 days and we do not charge for it.
Deleting your account removes your briefs, uploads, videos, brand settings and channel tokens. Billing records are kept as described above. If you are in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Passwords are bcrypt-hashed. Sessions are opaque random tokens stored only as hashes, so a database leak cannot be replayed as a live login, and revoking one takes effect on the next request. Channel access tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Every request is scoped to your own workspace, and asking for another customer’s video returns the same “not found” as a video that never existed. Traffic is HTTPS-only. More detail on security.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we use your data in a way that affects you — including adding a recipient to the table above — we will email you before it takes effect.
